A Technological Shock That Dismantles the Existing World

Topic 1. The Limits of Golf and the Only Breakthrough: The Shaft

1-1.

USGA · R&A Regulations The End of Equipment Evolution

The history of golf equipment is, in essence, a history of limitations.

The USGA and R&A, the governing bodies of global golf regulations,

have imposed strict constraints to ensure that equipment performance does not overpower human ability.

In particular, limiting the coefficient of restitution (COR) to 0.830

and restricting head volume to within 460cc

was virtually a death sentence for club manufacturers.

No major manufacturer can now promise “revolutionary distance”

beyond the walls of physical law and regulation.

This is precisely why the “new products” we see each year

are often nothing more than minor shifts in center of gravity

 and superficial design changes.

Equipment evolution has already reached its end,

and within the framework of regulation, golfers remain trapped in stagnant performance.

1-2.

Technological Saturation of the Head and the Ball Why Is Further Innovation Impossible?

Over the past decades, head technology has

reached its critical threshold through the maximization of moment of inertia (MOI)

and the extensive use of carbon materials.

The ball as well now stands at the aerodynamic limit,

with drag reduced as far as possible through dimple optimization.

From a physics standpoint,   the energy obtainable from the head and ball combination at the same swing speed has already reached saturation.

Manufacturers introduce new marketing terms each year, yet actual launch monitor data shows that   distance gains remain within the margin of error.

It is time to stop expecting miracles from the head and the ball.

For squeezing out an extra 1–2 yards from already perfected components cannot be called innovation.

1-3.

The Invisible Engine,

Why Is the Shaft the Only Alternative?

Among all components of the golf club, the shaft is the most free from USGA and R&A regulations,

and at the same time, the only domain that holds virtually limitless design possibilities.

If the club head is the exterior of the engine, the shaft is the internal mechanism that transmits and amplifies energy.

In the fleeting 0.02 seconds when a golfer’s force is delivered to the head, how the shaft bends (Loading) and how it recovers (Unloading)

creates distance and direction on an entirely different level.   KGST focused on this “Invisible Engine.”

This final frontier beyond regulation is the only breakthrough capable of transforming the paradigm of the golf industry.

1-4.

The Imitative Limits of Conventional Shaft Manufacturers

Major global manufacturers dominating today’s market in Japan, the United States, and beyond are, regrettably, trapped in the swamp of materials.

They emphasize the use of more expensive carbon sheets and materials with higher modulus, yet this is merely a change in material, not a fundamental innovation in design.

Under mass-production systems, the “Flex (R, S, X)” classifications they offer are far too crude and imitative to capture the individual swing dynamics of each golfer.

Rather than engineering precision for one golfer, they produce shafts that fall into the “trap of the average,” designed to fit as many people as possible. This imitative limitation becomes the fundamental reason golfers are denied truly customized performance.

Creation from 0 to 1

The New Golf Defined by KGST

KGST does not follow the conventional 1-to-N approach of merely improving what already exists. Instead, we strive to become a  0-to-1 creation company that builds technologies the world has never seen before.

The philosophy KGST has refined over 15 years of research does not merely remain within the process of manufacturing shafts.

We infused fundamental physics and quantum-mechanical insight into the golf shaft, realizing an unprecedented technological breakthrough — precision deployment at the 1-inch level.

KGST’s definition of “New Golf” is not a world governed by marketing, but one ruled solely by scientific data and precise engineering blueprints.

We will dismantle the outdated order of the golf industry and usher in a new era of performance defined by technological certainty.
